To Those Who Have Crossed the Rainbow Bridge
We'd like to pay tribute to a few special members we've recently lost who played a valuable role and supported the organization from the beginning. They'll certainly be in our thoughts this year at parade time!
Peaches With Her Family, Carolyn & Jesse Ashbaugh

The Mardi Paws organization joins the Ashbaughs as we mourn the loss of 2005 Queen Peaches. Peaches was an original supporter of Mardi Paws since she was 8 weeks old. She was a joy to all and a wonderful supporter of our parade. She will be missed.
Dylan, with Richard Boyd

Dylan served as Grand Duke in 2001 and moved on to be crowned King of the 2004 parade, remaining an enthusiastic supporter ever since! Dylan's sister Jodi reigned as Queen of the 1999 parade.Thank you, Richard, for all you've done to support our parade. Dylan will be missed by all.
Lil' Dixie Darlin Dobson, longtime Parade Marshal
Lil' Dixie Darlin' was one of the original krewe members and never shirked her duty as Parade Marshal ever since. In addition to the burden she readily accepted as Parade Marshal every year, she was a passionate supporter of LSU football. Since her loss, our world grew dimmer, until her namesakes Dixie Deux & Dixie Darlin' tried to fill her paws as Parade Marshals. We all know that Lil' Dixie would approve of the job they are doing...but we will miss Lil' Dixie forever.
